Build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
Be proactive v.
reactive Assist in the hiring of teachers, aides, and other staff personnel.
Create and modify 504s and inform staff, students, and parents of the plans and accommodations that must be followed.
Attend Special Education Case Conferences - act as Public Agency Representative (PAR) Assist Principal with Standards for Success (SFS) RISE evaluations and walkthroughs 50/50.
Meetings o Monthly Department Head Meetings - first Tuesday of each month 3:

00 o Monthly staff meetings and discuss student concerns and provide best practices.

o New Teacher Academy - for first 2-year teachers.
Third Tuesday of each month 7:

Enforce the Student Handbook.
o Communicate with students, parents/guardians disciplinary consequences.
Send letters home to parents for suspensions and expulsions.
o Manage the In-School Detention (ISD) room.
Let ISD supervisor know when students will need to be monitored.
o Notify SPED and KASEC (Kokomo Area Special Education Co-op) of SPED and 504 student suspensions and expulsions.
o Communicate after-school-detention student names to scheduled staff monitors.
Send reminders to students for detentions.
o Monitor attendance and tardies.
Send home letters and meet with parents to create attendance contracts, if necessary.
Report educational neglect issues to DCS.
o Step into classrooms to provide guidance and support when ongoing discipline issues continue.
o Monitor and document bullying reports.
Review classroom discipline policies and provide input on any necessary changes.
Bus lot supervision before and after school.
Some Athletic supervision Supervise dances at the school (MS, Winter semi-formal, homecoming).
Maintain the student handbook, work with staff on recommended changes.
Work with staff to review and update the School Improvement Plan Attend School Board meetings as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
